It is almost Valentine's Day. One of my FAVORITE holidays, and to keep up with tradition, Tara and I dressed up our little ones and MADE them do a "couples" shoot.  Yes... we just pimp our kids out like this every year. We swear one day we will be sitting at their wedding, and these pictures will be the most adorable thing EVER!  But until then...

Each year it gets a little harder, the kids get a little older, and the days leading up to the shoot we really have to bribe them to do it for us!  I'm really wondering if next year, they will put their foot down and just tell us NO!  Even though once the shoot actually starts they have a BLAST with each other. Like seriously, it's a play date! And OH MY GOSH give them a fake flask and a pair of sunglasses and our kids turned into little actors! Pursed lips, rock and roll signs and even the whip and nae name!  I love these 2 ... They are such balances of each other, Liv is an ambitious and assertive girl, and Gabe is the laid back, go with the flow boy!

I just love these little humans! And I hope you all love their little shoot! It's time for the 4th day of Christmas and it's a big one! For those of you who have been wanting to take our "Know Thy Camera" photography workshop, now is the time! I absolutely love this time of year. Yes, I am that stereotypical girl who really digs sweaters, layers, boots, scarves and pumpkin spice lattes in front of a fire! I am that person who puts away her summer clothes in September and drags out the flannel! Why can't October come around more than once a year?

My other favorite part about the tail end of the year are all the great holidays! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas...love it! At Tiptoe these holidays give us a reason to celebrate and give our clients the opportunity to enjoy some really great savings!

Our favorite time of the year is right around the corner...fall! Pumpkin spice everything, jeans, boots, sweaters, scarves...and at Tiptoe it means we are sliding right into our super-busy season. Not only is this a hugely popular season for weddings and school portraits, but we get crazy busy booking family sessions because with the cooler weather coming on, we are all reminded that Christmas is around the corner. And what do we all need around Christmas time? Christmas cards (we got ya covered!) and Christmas presents (check!) !

Hey y'all... Here is a preview of our Tiptoe school portraits for the fall sessions on Saturday August 29th and  Sunday September 13th!  I had one of my best-est friends come out so I could borrow her kiddos on what could have been the stickiest hottest days this summer, just so I could get our set ups all ready!!  Now, there are a couple more things I have bought to add to the set up but you get the idea on how cute it's going to be!! Hey guys... So I was thinking, there are so many new photogs in the area! Which is awesome !!! I love that so many people are interested in taking their love and passion for photography to a BUSINESS level! (We offer classes and booklets to help teach new photogs!! Check out Tiptoe Teaches on our website... I know, I know, shameless plug) Anyway I wanted to hear from you, can you, the general public, tell the difference between professional and an amateur photographers, in their quality, posing, lighting? Or does the price difference between professionals and amateurs make more of a difference to you?

I am just curious y'all... there is no right or wrong answer. And go....
