Every year, the county fair is something I look forward to. If you put aside the flocks of screaming teenagers pushing past you, the deep, warm pile of cow dung you just stepped in, and the massively overpriced food that smells sooo good (but is sooo bad for your wallet and your health) then the fair is really fun!

I go at least three times during the week. My first trip is usually to watch my brother play in the school band.  This year, he's a freshman at Washington Highschool, so it was kinda cool to see how far they've come with the show music.  Every year I watch him perform at the fair, it brings back a whole flood of band memories from my own middle school/highschool years. *tear runs down my cheek*

The second time I go to the fair, it's usually for some event.  Sometimes I watch the Demolition Derby or the bull riding.  This year, I attended "Cow Chip Bingo"! I never even knew such a brilliant game existed until Tara mentioned it.  I bought my square for bingo Thursday evening and I was feeling really good about my F8 square, but Blanca the cow decided that E10 (only two spots away from mine) was the $1000 winner when she pooped on it (not even 10 seconds after entering the ring, btw). There's always next year F8...

My third and last trip to the county fair is usually, you guessed it, food based. I have to have my last butterfly fry, funnel cake, and sweet tea meal for the year.  It's kind of my way of saying goodbye to summer.  Right after the fair, I usually begin school and the next 8 months of my life consists of nothing except biology and chemistry and research and sleeplessness and exams and you get the idea......

Busy, busy, busy... what a whirlwind of the past week. I have had tons of shoots, tons of editing, a baby Tre actual birthday, a visit to the zoo, Tiptoe meetings, yard sale, all the while preparing for the fair pageant and the first day of school! SHEWWWW! I am beat, but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way! I love this LIFE and I love being able to be there for my babies everyday, all the while having a thriving business!! Here are some of my favorite images from my personal life, this week! LOL!

I am so excited to share this seniors images... Not only was it by far the coolest day of August that we could've asked for.... It was also overcast!! Amazing! It made it so easy to say sure let's go out to the ball field for some shots. I didn't have to worry with any harsh shadows!! Gahh!

Chase's family is so incredibly special to me, they have been with Tiptoe for years, through family portraits, newborns, school shoots, to his sisters senior shoot a couple of years ago, basically we can just name a type of shoot and I am sure someone in his family has been there for it, as well as the Tiptoe Teaches classes.   We have formed such a great bond on so much more than just a business level!  I mean my daughter is swimming at their house right now as I am writing this post! LOL. They are definitely some of my favorite people EVER!  Just another reason I am so in love with being a Tiptoe girl.  I am lucky enough to meet these amazing people and make them my friends outside of business! God surely blessed me!

I could go on and on, but without further ado ... {Chase} Tiptoe Senior!

We have captured many milestones with this amazing couple.  When they were seniors in high school, to their engagement photos, their wedding day, maternity, newborn, and now Mason's one year session.  Man does time fly by.  It has been such a blessing to be apart of their journey and I look forward to watching their little family grow.  Here are a few teasers from Mason's birthday session.  My gosh...what a little cutie he is.  I mean look at those big baby blues!!

One of my favorite families came in for a family/first birthday shoot this week. And boy oh boy did I fall in love with these pics!  They definitely show this fams personality!  These girls love everything country, from their little farm with their cows, to their pony, and of course those styling cowgirl boots.  Gahhh!! I love it!

So for the first birthday portion of the shoot mom and I had gotten our ideas together and had some props that we wanted to incorporate into the shoot, but little miss Sage wasn't having all that. As soon as those little bare feet hit the gravel, she was all about it! And I love that Mom embraced it for what it was, and let her little girl get just as messy as she wanted because after all that is who she is!!

Here are some of my faves from the day! Enjoy guys!!

As most of you may already know, my husband is a career firefighter with Winchester Fire & Rescue, and I am super excited to introduce you to the "newest wife" of the WFRD family!  Mrs. Brandy DeHaven!

FW

It was a beautiful day for a beautiful bride, and Drew made sure that the day was perfect for his soon to be wife.  From sending her love letters throughout the day accompanied by pictures, to making sure no one would see her if she stumbled getting off of the firetruck, which she DID NOT...thank goodness.  But needless to say...he thought of it all.

The only thing that could have made the day more perfect was if their "kids" (cats) could have been there to share the day with them.CatPic

BPCongratulations, Mr. & Mrs. DeHaven!  I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of this memorable day, and I hope that you will allow Tiptoe to continue to share all of the memorable moments that your life together has... <Shameless plug, I know>

The boys and I made the 10 hour drive to visit one of my best friends! HAHA... it's not really that long but I always kid around that I'm halfway to the beach when I go to visit her.  She is expecting her 4th baby so how could I not bring my camera along and snap a few photos for her.  We don't see each other as much as we both would like so to be able to capture these moments for her truly means so much!  Here are a few teasers for her!  ENJOY!!

Erica is a SENIOR!! Whattttt!!?? I almost couldn't believe it myself. The shoot itself seem surreal! Like am I really taking Erica's senior photos??  The Mercers and the Heflins have been great friends for years and years now, and I swear I blinked and Erica is all grown up! Now I know that this day has been coming... Erica has been one of our best baby sitters for a long time... So I remember the days of her watching Olivia at her house so her parents could oversee the operation, then it was that she was old enough to do it at my house and her parents would drop her off, and then she started to drive herself, and BOOM she is a stinking SENIOR! Geesh!!

So a little about the shoot... We knew we wanted to do something a little different with our locations, so a friend of her mom's had this AMAZING farm in Purceville, VA that we were able to use.  And I literally could've spent another 2 hours there, finding little nooks that were so unique. There were fields, little houses, barns, low hanging trees, gardens, and lots of little spaces that were just decorated with benches and hanging picture frames! It was incredible! Photographers DREAM!

We also knew that we had to incorporate Prim the goat! Erica has been very involved in 4-H and FFA for so long. She loves her animals! And what would her senior pictures be without incorporating them!

So finally... here are some of the teasers of one of my favorite girls. Erica you are so smart, kind, determined, compassionate, well-rounded, and BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to see what this world has in store for you! heflin4 heflin3 heflin2 heflin1

How super exciting when one of our Tiptoe couples are expecting! Jenniffer and Scott were married about a year and a half ago (a gorgeous Tiptoe wedding at the Bowling Green Country Club) and are expecting a little girl in just a couple weeks! Doesn't Jenniffer look stinking amazing!  I wish I looked as good as her when I was 3 weeks away from baby Tre's due date, which would have been almost impossible with my 10 and a half pound baby! I can't wait for the newborn session and to get to meet her brand new baby girl!  ...aaaand see what baby girls name is going to be. Wink wink*swisher maternity-37 swisher maternity-41
