Ohhhhh, how I love this boys momma! She has poured so much into my family over the past year and a half. She has been with us, coaching us on how to handle the baby Tre and make him all he can be! We have "played", laughed and cried together and words just never could express how truly grateful I am to her (and Mrs. Lacy) for all they did to help us! So when she said she wanted me to take her oldest sons senior pictures I was soooooo honored! Jacob is the best! He is beyond smart, honorable, determined and kind. All the things that any parents want their child to be!  Boy, oh boy he is going places in this life and I can't wait to hear about it!  Congrats to Jacob on your graduation! And congrats to mom and dad for doing a great job! logo3 logo4 logo5 logo6 logo7 logo8 logo9

So I have known sweet Kayla for many, many years! Back in the day, the pre-tiptoe days, lol,  I worked with Kayla's mom at a local bank. Kayla must've been like a baby then.... Like not actually a baby, but she was just a little girl! A sweet little girl! AND now she is like a high school senior! Whatttttt???  Kayla is such a beauty inside and out. No matter what angle I shot her from, I never got a bad picture!  Gorgeous!! I certainly wish her the best of luck after she graduates from high school this spring. Enjoy some of my faves!

I don't know if my old age is getting to me, or maybe that everything changes when you have kids of your own,  but I am having a really hard time believing (probably not quite as hard of a time as his momma 🙂 )  that Will is a senior.  Ahhhh! I mean how many years have I been married? Like 8 years?  And from the time little Will was the ring bearer in my wedding till now seems like it has gone by in a flash! Literally, I blinked and Will has turned into this 6'3 man.  Will has always been one of my favorite guys, from 8 year old Will showing me all his animals in his room to 18 year old Will showing me all his animals at the barn (and teaching me a thing or 2 about the chickens, lol.) He has always been the most personable, handsome, kind, intelligent, and outstanding kid I know.  (Way to go mom and dad, you should be so proud!!) He just excels in everything he tries, and makes it fun for everyone around him. (Even if it is a game of Mao, where I am ready to quit because I have no idea what the heck is going on... Yes, Will is probably the only one who can make me stay in the game. )  Also I have never met such a caring guy, whether he's playing with my Olivia, or helping me out on a night where I just really wanted something off the menu at Sheetz, or even helping a friend who just needed some ice cream (.... Erica) His devotion to people (and his animals) is so obvious and amazing... I mean seriously who can ask for more than that in your kid!

So Mr. Will Shultz ... I can't wait to see what you will do with this life. You are an amazing man and have one of the strongest characters I know.  The world is waiting on you!! (... and there go my tears.)  Enjoy!! shultz1 shultz2 shultz3 shultz4 shultz5 shultz6 shultz7

Erica is a SENIOR!! Whattttt!!?? I almost couldn't believe it myself. The shoot itself seem surreal! Like am I really taking Erica's senior photos??  The Mercers and the Heflins have been great friends for years and years now, and I swear I blinked and Erica is all grown up! Now I know that this day has been coming... Erica has been one of our best baby sitters for a long time... So I remember the days of her watching Olivia at her house so her parents could oversee the operation, then it was that she was old enough to do it at my house and her parents would drop her off, and then she started to drive herself, and BOOM she is a stinking SENIOR! Geesh!!

So a little about the shoot... We knew we wanted to do something a little different with our locations, so a friend of her mom's had this AMAZING farm in Purceville, VA that we were able to use.  And I literally could've spent another 2 hours there, finding little nooks that were so unique. There were fields, little houses, barns, low hanging trees, gardens, and lots of little spaces that were just decorated with benches and hanging picture frames! It was incredible! Photographers DREAM!

We also knew that we had to incorporate Prim the goat! Erica has been very involved in 4-H and FFA for so long. She loves her animals! And what would her senior pictures be without incorporating them!

So finally... here are some of the teasers of one of my favorite girls. Erica you are so smart, kind, determined, compassionate, well-rounded, and BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to see what this world has in store for you! heflin4 heflin3 heflin2 heflin1

What an amazing shoot I had last week with this beauty! She is a senior this upcoming year and opted for a Tiptoe styled shoot instead of the ones through the school. As we walked the streets of downtown Charles Town to find great shooting locations, she got looks and compliments from our passerby's! And I am sure you all can see why! She is absolutely STUNNING! I can barely take any credit for these beautiful photos!!  logo1 logo2 logo3 logo4

logo1So we may have picked a windy, windy day to do this session, but she totally rocked it!  Wind is sometimes one of our biggest enemies or it can be a beautiful thing when it hits you just right and makes your hair a tad bit fuller than normal!  Did we have to stop 100 times to fix her hair, yes! Did we have pauses that we stared at each other for a couple minutes just waiting for the wind to die down, sure! But every shoot has its story!
