Ohhhhh, how I love this boys momma! She has poured so much into my family over the past year and a half. She has been with us, coaching us on how to handle the baby Tre and make him all he can be! We have "played", laughed and cried together and words just never could express how truly grateful I am to her (and Mrs. Lacy) for all they did to help us! So when she said she wanted me to take her oldest sons senior pictures I was soooooo honored! Jacob is the best! He is beyond smart, honorable, determined and kind. All the things that any parents want their child to be!  Boy, oh boy he is going places in this life and I can't wait to hear about it!  Congrats to Jacob on your graduation! We LOVED this couple and as sad as it is, I’m so upset their wedding is actually over! I am going to miss them! They are simply perfect for one another, both with equally witty senses of humor and both so, so smart! I learned so much during our times together… We had their engagement shoot in downtown Alexandria and I swear they know EVERYTHING about that city…. (including what pub we needed to go to in the evening..lol) Their wedding day was great even with the light drizzle of rain on and off all day! We made the best of it and went outside anyway! Just another reason to love them so much! I hope that they enjoy these Tiptoe teasers and that their long honeymoon was just as amazing as they are!! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs.!!!

This couple!! Oh geez, they were so wonderful! Tiptoe was there to capture their wedding a couple years ago and now they are expecting their first baby!! Yahhhhhh!! #lifetimephotographers  So we were prepping for their maternity shoot and we had decided that Harpers Ferry would be the perfect backdrop for what we wanted to accomplish BUTTTTTT, things don't always go as planned! We both arrived to downtown Harpers Ferry to find that there were literally 30,000 people doing touristy things, which makes it hard to have a nice open shot... ANDDDD  the whole road where we normally park was blocked off! AHHHHH! So by the grace of God, we were able to find a parking spot all the way at the end of the road leading to downtown, and we took it! Now the adventure began and I loved that Jeremy pushed us (the girls)  further than we may have ventured ourselves through the woods and across the railroad tracks. After a couple "history" lessons, which may or may not have been true (LOL), we found ourselves all the way down to the river for some gorgeous shots! Gahhh!! Words can't even describe how much I love these littles!! (and their amazing momma!!) And even though we only had a mini session this day, we definitely had the BEST time! I don't even know the last time I laughed quite as hard as I did during the time baby Brinkley was giving me her faces, besides perhaps the time she was giving a similar face during our joint yard sale! (Listen guys, you may have had to be there, it's a long story, LOL) She had her brother, sister and mom in hysterics too, so at least I wasn't the only one! I did end up catching some natural smiles through the laughs, which is the BEST!  Please enjoy these teasers!

So I have known sweet Kayla for many, many years! Back in the day, the pre-tiptoe days, lol,  I worked with Kayla's mom at a local bank. Kayla must've been like a baby then.... Like not actually a baby, but she was just a little girl! A sweet little girl! AND now she is like a high school senior! Whatttttt???  Kayla is such a beauty inside and out. No matter what angle I shot her from, I never got a bad picture!  Gorgeous!! I certainly wish her the best of luck after she graduates from high school this spring. Enjoy some of my faves!

Well anyone that is my friend personally on FB, you may have saw the unfortunate "crap"  that happened on my way into the studio for my baby Evelyn's newborn shoot, BUTTTTT I wouldn't change this day for anything! Evelyn is my new baby "niece" (my cousins baby) and oh my gosh I love her so!!! She reminds me of a baby Keri Jackson, eyes, nose, birthmark and all! (Sorry Ian) I can't even take it!  She had such big smiles for me, (probably because she knew I was having such an awful day, or maybe she was laughing as hard as Mom and Dad were at the unfortunate incident.) Either way here is one of my favorite gummy smiles of the day! logo1

I am so happy to share Nick's senior session with you all!! I met him several years ago through our local 4-H (my Olivia is a clover bud with the Yahoo Buckaroos) He's such a great kid and we had so much fun exchanging stories about our lab "puppies" and I learned a ton about hockey and our local teams! Our session was so relaxed and fun and he was great at taking my crazy directions!! I hope you all enjoy!

I had such a wonderful time photographing baby Hadley. She is baby number 3 for one of our favorite families! And the FIRST baby girl! Hadley is so lucky to have 2 big brothers who love her so much.... Well at least biggest brother does, Landon was so kind and gentle and sweet, showering her in his big bro kisses! I can't even take it!! All the while little brother was really into hims trucks, lol!! Which of course is way cooler for him than a little sister! DUH!   Enjoy some of my faves from their shoot!

Oh my goodness... I got to photograph some of my all time favorite kiddos the other day and it breaks my heart that they are getting so big! Sisters, Shawn and Jessie, have brought their babes to us since Ben was like 2. The kiddos Ben, Kayleigh, and Lucas were SOOO good for the shoot! Ben was handing out my candy bribes, Kayleigh was Miss Sassy and baby Lucas was the best, doing whatever we asked him to do! #luckyparents  I told them what a mess picture day in the Mercer household turns into, no matter how much I plan! I wish my kids had half as much patience and smiles as their kids did! Even though I know that's not the way it works when you are the photographer and mom! #icanwish  Anyway here are some of my faves of the kids individual shots! ENJOY those smiles!
