Soooooo we just had an outstanding weekend with 3 Tiptoe weddings!! WHAT 3 weddings in 1 weekend??!! I know!! It is pretty amazing! We all know how much time and preperation goes into getting us ready to shoot 1 wedding and we were able to pull off 3! Well I will just give us a big pat on the back! BUT, the real reason for this post is not to pat us on the back, its to thank and praise our 2nd shooters!  I mean we were able to call on our former Tiptoe gals and they SHOWED up in a big way for us this weekend! We, as the owners of Tiptoe, are so blessed to have such an amazing tribe! I know we say it again and again but once a Tiptoe lady always a Tiptoe lady! So thank you Chasity and Ande for being so capable, impressive, and everything we needed you to be! You all are the BEST!

On a side note because I never would want to leave out a Tiptoe gal, Lindsay we know if you weren't half a world away, we would have been able to call on you and had you right by our side too!! 😉

And let me not finish this post and not have said something equally as amazing about how incredible our Beth is!  She was one of the lead photographers this weekend and we are always impressed by her and her way with people! She IS and has been what Tiptoe embodies, and we couldn't be more proud as Tiptoe parents! LOL!

Words can't even describe how much I love these littles!! (and their amazing momma!!) And even though we only had a mini session this day, we definitely had the BEST time! I don't even know the last time I laughed quite as hard as I did during the time baby Brinkley was giving me her faces, besides perhaps the time she was giving a similar face during our joint yard sale! (Listen guys, you may have had to be there, it's a long story, LOL) She had her brother, sister and mom in hysterics too, so at least I wasn't the only one! I did end up catching some natural smiles through the laughs, which is the BEST!  Please enjoy these teasers!

So I have known sweet Kayla for many, many years! Back in the day, the pre-tiptoe days, lol,  I worked with Kayla's mom at a local bank. Kayla must've been like a baby then.... Like not actually a baby, but she was just a little girl! A sweet little girl! AND now she is like a high school senior! Whatttttt???  Kayla is such a beauty inside and out. No matter what angle I shot her from, I never got a bad picture!  Gorgeous!! I certainly wish her the best of luck after she graduates from high school this spring. Enjoy some of my faves!

Well anyone that is my friend personally on FB, you may have saw the unfortunate "crap"  that happened on my way into the studio for my baby Evelyn's newborn shoot, BUTTTTT I wouldn't change this day for anything! Evelyn is my new baby "niece" (my cousins baby) and oh my gosh I love her so!!! She reminds me of a baby Keri Jackson, eyes, nose, birthmark and all! (Sorry Ian) I can't even take it!  She had such big smiles for me, (probably because she knew I was having such an awful day, or maybe she was laughing as hard as Mom and Dad were at the unfortunate incident.) I am so happy to share Nick's senior session with you all!! I met him several years ago through our local 4-H (my Olivia is a clover bud with the Yahoo Buckaroos) He's such a great kid and we had so much fun exchanging stories about our lab "puppies" and I learned a ton about hockey and our local teams! Our session was so relaxed and fun and he was great at taking my crazy directions!! I hope you all enjoy!

Trumpet Vine Farm Engagement Shoot| Stephens City, VA

I love shooting at new locations,  it's nice to have something different and FRESH and this location was just perfect.  Gina and Jason are absolutely amazing! They are so easy to talk to and laugh with and boy did we laugh, A LOT!  I'm already looking forward to their wedding next year. The day didn't go as planned and a couple things may have gotten broken or left at home, but it will make for a great story.  Here are just a couple of my favorites and an outtake with a quote from Jason. I had such a wonderful time photographing baby Hadley. She is baby number 3 for one of our favorite families! And the FIRST baby girl! Hadley is so lucky to have 2 big brothers who love her so much.... Well at least biggest brother does, Landon was so kind and gentle and sweet, showering her in his big bro kisses! I can't even take it!! All the while little brother was really into hims trucks, lol!! Which of course is way cooler for him than a little sister! DUH!   Enjoy some of my faves from their shoot!

Oh my goodness... I got to photograph some of my all time favorite kiddos the other day and it breaks my heart that they are getting so big! Sisters, Shawn and Jessie, have brought their babes to us since Ben was like 2. The kiddos Ben, Kayleigh, and Lucas were SOOO good for the shoot! Ben was handing out my candy bribes, Kayleigh was Miss Sassy and baby Lucas was the best, doing whatever we asked him to do! #luckyparents  I told them what a mess picture day in the Mercer household turns into, no matter how much I plan! I wish my kids had half as much patience and smiles as their kids did! Even though I know that's not the way it works when you are the photographer and mom! #icanwish  Anyway here are some of my faves of the kids individual shots! ENJOY those smiles!

If I was the crying type, I would definitely be shedding tears over the loss of one of Tiptoe's finest... Last week, we had to say good bye to our Ande who has been with us for the last 4  years. She came to us fresh out of high school and we knew from the moment we met her that she was a Tiptoe girl! She first joined the team as an office employee, responsible for emailing clients, packaging orders, etc. As Tiptoe grew, Ande took on a bigger role. She has painted faces at Third Thursday events, dressed up and passed out candy for Halloween and sat through numerous vendors fairs with us. A few years ago, Ande took up the camera and became our part time photographer, shooting weddings, seniors and couples with a modern and edgy feel which was all her own. Ande has been a huge part of this business and without her contributions, we would not be the success we are today!

We wish her the best of luck as she rides off into the sunset (to Morgantown, lol) to study veterinary medicine.  She will always have a special place in all of our hearts and we will never forget the awesome memories of her time with us. And as we always say, "once a Tiptoe lady, always a Tiptoe lady!"

As she embarks on this new path in life, we wish her nothing but the best!  Ok, maybe I shed a single man tear there...but you'll never really know 😉
