What a beautiful wedding this was.  Justine looked absolutely flawless in her dress and those bright red lips.  Danny could not keep his eyes off her and I don't believe he EVER stopped smiling.  I mean do you blame him...just look at her, GORGEOUS!!  They got married at the George Washington Hotel in Winchester, VA.  Here are a few teasers from their special day.  Enjoy!

Every year since Maximus was 6 months old we have done a week long vacation to North Carolina, but with trying to sell our house (which is still on the market if you know anyone looking for a house...lol) we just weren't sure of our plans...so we backed out of the usual group vacation and had no plans of doing a beach trip this summer....BUMMER!  BUT...when my parents expressed wanting to get away for a few days we decided a quick trip to Ocean City for a few days is just what our family needed.

The boys were super excited because we have never gone on vacation with Grandma and Papa and I was excited to use my new camera that my partners got me for my birthday, which was last week.  (Thanks TT and Hoss!!!)  I still can't believe I only have one more year until I'm 30, ugh!!! Sucks getting old.  But anyways that's another blog topic.  As usual a few days leading up to it, I'm running around like a crazy person trying to make sure I have all I need, doing some last minute shopping, wondering who is going to look after our cats, washing clothes, cleaning the house, etc. etc.

We finally get to the beach and AHHH...  It's crazy how just being there makes me feel so peaceful.  Maximus kept asking if we would live here.  They both were a big crazy mess... staying up late, getting up early, eating anything and everything, but hey what's vacation if you can't do all those things, right?  It was a great time and I do love the beach, but boy am glad to be home.

Here are a few photos of the boys and for once I managed to get in a photo with Maximus.  Enjoy!

I can't even stand it!! Tomorrow is the big day! Tiptoe's very first workshop! The time is here that we are able to share our passion, our love of photography!! Shhhhhhut up!!  We have been working so hard putting it all together and now the day is almost here to share!  And if I am being really honest, I am a tad nervous!

We have built our business over the past 6 1/2 years learning new techniques and now have honed in all of our knowledge and broken it down to 3 workshops - The first, which we are teaching tomorrow, is Know Thy Camera, we will be teaching you how to use your camera in manual mode, so you can achieve the image you had in your mind!  We are trying to make you do the thinking for your camera not vice versa... Without these first set of skills you will never be able take control of how your image turns out!

We are keeping these workshops small in numbers, as it's not going to be your typical "class" where we stand in front of you and teach! Anyone who knows me personally knows that I can NOT get in front of a group and speak at them. I get sweaty palms, my heart starts pounding, I get tunnel vision and all I can hear is whoomp, whoomp, and I honestly have no idea what is even coming out of my mouth.  Nothing in this world probably makes me more nervous than speaking in front of a group!  So with this being said,  we are making it more of a round table discussion, just like back in the beginning of Tiptoe where it was Tara, Jennifer and I sitting down together working out our photography issues.  We want all our "students" to feel comfortable asking questions or telling us their issues.  We want to be able to give 100% attention to every person there. We are going to start the day with a Royalicious breakfast and coffee getting to know each other a little and figuring out your goals for the class.   Also we thought it wouldn't be a Tiptoe workshop without a photo shoot, so at the end we are going to be practicing together!! And all our 'students' will be leaving with a brand new Tiptoe headshot!

I simply cannot wait! I probably won't even be able to sleep tonight!!! GAHHH! So please everyone wish us luck!

Also on a side note, I think we are going to offer our workbook that follows the teaching of this first class. So for anyone that wasn't able to attend the class and wants an insight on how to use your camera manually! This workbook may be a better option for you! Just send us a message, if you are interested and we will decide if opening up the workbook to non-class-atendees is a good idea???

The Cupids Undie Run is one of our favorite charity events that we have done over the past several years. So let me give you a quick rundown of what it's about and why we are so involved. One of our long time clients and best friends daughter, Khloe, was diagnosed with NF at the age of 4. Neurofibromatosis is a set of complex genetic disorders that affects almost every organ system, causing a predisposition for tumors to grow on nerves in the brain and throughout the body. Khloe currently has MRIs every 3 months to keep close watch on her tumors. This girl is a ROCKSTAR. She goes through way more than any Kindergartener should EVER have to and she does it with a smile.
This is THE reason we relentlessly beg for donations for months and months leading up to the run. I am very proud to say that our team, The Bean Team, raised $8685 and well beat our goal of $5000! This was all through tons of big and little donations from all of you! WOW, how amazing!! And the great thing about this event is that 100% of the profits go straight to the Childrens Tumor Foundation, so we are super confident that we are working for the cure to this disease.
Now it is run day... And we keep hearing that the weather is going to be far colder/windier than the years past, and does this scare us a bit? Ummm yes, but because the run is only a little over a mile around the Capitol in DC the run administrators are confident that it takes 30 minutes for frostbite or hypothermia to set in and we all should be fine! I mean having the chance to run the streets of DC in your skivvies is like a once in a lifetime opportunity! It was going to happen either way!

So I wanted to add some pictures of our fabulous day and thank everyone who donated to the Bean Team. The Bean Team has BIG fundraising plans this year, so be on the lookout! And also if you have some time go to www.cupidsundierun.com and www.childrenstumorfoundation.com to learn more! It's all about raising awareness!

This is our BEAN.. Khloe!
